Oncology

We know that cancer has an impact on both patients and families. Around 1 in 2 people in the UK will be diagnosed with some form of cancer during their lifetime.

Our nursing teams and services support patients and families through their treatment pathway and beyond.

We know how to mobilise therapies quickly

Clinical care closer to home frees up precious time for patients and their families, enabling a greater sense of independence and control. Our nurses work closely with patients and their consultants to get them on the right therapies quickly.

We have a broad nurse support system to ensure all patient needs are met and aligned to consultant led care. These roles include but are not limited to Specialist Nurses, Practice Development Nurses, Support Workers all lead by both our Lead Cancer Nurse and Head of Specialist Services.

10k Over 10,000 nurse visits for oncology every year

We’re pioneering specialist cancer therapies

To support the national cancer service targets, we are developing an oncology training academy to enable nurses and pharmacists to specialise within oncology.

We know how to provide cancer care closer to home

Cancer is a complex group of diseases characterised by the uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells.

Our clinical NHS team treat patients in the comfort of their own homes and we take away the travel, parking challenges and long waiting time. Our clinical healthcare centre teams can also treat patients closer to home.
