Paul Adams became Chief Executive Officer of Lloyds Clinical in December 2023. With a strategic focus on enhancing patient care, Paul leads the company in providing specialised clinical treatments directly to patients’ homes and within their communities, aiming to improve outcomes through innovative and accessible healthcare solutions.
Paul’s vision for Lloyds Clinical is to set new standards in patient care and to establish the company as a leader in the homecare sector, recognising the growing demand for these essential services.

David Straughan
Chief Operating Officer
David oversees and supports the operational activities of the business, ensuring that patient care flows smoothly from initiation through to delivery with minimal disruption. His strategic focus is on measuring key KPIs and financial performance, while also exploring opportunities to invest in new technologies that enhance operational efficiency.
Mark Coupland
Finance Officer
Mark drives financial strategy to enhance business performance and expand the organisation’s ability to serve patients effectively. As a key member of the leadership team, Mark provides vital data-driven insights and secures financial investment to support operational excellence and deliver exceptional patient care. His work ensures the organisation remains agile, efficient, and well-equipped to meet the evolving needs of both patients and healthcare partners.
Jo Upton
Chief Patient Officer
Jo oversees the nursing staff, clinical operations, and patient care services. Her role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless patient care, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Jo is instrumental in strategic planning, resource allocation, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives.
Mohammed Umar
Director of Quality, Governance & Superintendent Pharmacist
Since joining in October 2022, Mohammed has played a crucial role in overseeing all regulatory aspects of the business. His responsibilities include managing patient experiences through complaint handling, leading the compliance function by auditing against regulatory standards, and taking legal accountability for pharmacy registration.
George Radford
IT Director
George is responsible for shaping the company’s technology roadmap to align with its business goals and long-term vision. He leads strategic initiatives to modernise processes, adopt emerging technologies, and enhance both patient and colleague experiences. George’s key responsibilities include overseeing IT infrastructure, ensuring robust security, compliance, and risk mitigation, and implementing a cloud-first approach while leveraging AI and automation to improve efficiency.
Kieran Doona
Chief Commercial Officer
With 18 years of experience in healthcare and pharmacy, including his role as CEO of LloydsPharmacy Healthcare Services (LPHCS), Kieran has a proven track record in NHS partnerships, healthcare service development, and business growth. Kieran leads our company-wide commercial strategy, ensuring we strengthen existing relationships, build new partnerships, and expand access to our specialist clinical treatments outside of hospitals. His leadership will help align teams, enhance collaboration, and drive sustainable growth, supporting our mission: for a world where patients don’t wait for treatment.
